Who's behind Skip For Life?

Jacqueline Harrison Jacqueline Harrison is a Registered Nurse, business owner and mother living on Auckland's North Shore.

She is passionate about reducing the stress and pressure on women who are coming to terms with a HER2 positive breast cancer diagnosis. Often already under-going exhausting and dehabilitating treatments like surgery and chemotherapy, she doesn?t believe they should then have to fundraise to fund a course of Herceptin treatment.

Driven by her desire to make a difference, Jacqueline came up with the campaign idea of "Skip For Life - create a different tomorrow".

Together with a supportive team, Jacqueline is facilitating and coordinating fundraising for women from around New Zealand, who are unable to pay for Herceptin treatment themselves.

Herceptin gives women hope in their race to beat cancer. Jacqueline believes it is a massive injustice to deprive women of access to Herceptin treatment due to its cost, especially when research highlights significant benefits if the drug used in the early stages of HER2 Positive Breast Cancer. Herceptin has been hailed "a possible cure" for this type of cancer.

Please give generously to one of our recipients. Check out their profiles on this site and together let's extend a hand of friendship and love to our fellow New Zealanders.
